Football Group (CFG) has signed a global partnership agreement with FAL
Food & Beverages, owners of the Coco Joy coconut-based beverage
brand.
The new deal is an expansion of an existing partnership between the company and Australian A-League side Melbourne City, one of a number of teams in the CFG network of clubs that also includes Premier League side Manchester City and MLS franchise New York City FC. Coco Joy's sponsorship was announced in Melbourne on Monday during Manchester City's ongoing pre-season tour of Australia. As part of the new deal, the brand's logo is featuring on the side's shirt sleeves during their matches. "We have had an excellent relationship with Coco Joy in Melbourne and it is a fantastic success story for that partnership that we are now going to be working together at Manchester City and New York City FC as well," said Omar Berrada, the commercial director at City Football Marketing, which brokers CFG's commercial partnerships. "As the popularity of coconut-based beverages continues to grow, there couldn't be a better time to work with Coco Joy to bring the joy to our fans all over the world." The next match in Man City's summer tour is an International Champions Cup clash with Italian side AS Roma on Tuesday. | |||||
